Along the lines of cake pops, today I made some cake bites. Looks like a truffle, but is--in fact--a cake pop without the stick. I didn't do this intentionally though ;)
It so happens that I used dulce de leche instead of normal cake frosting, and it ended up giving the dough a softer consistency. I thought about maybe adding flour to stiffen the dough, but thought that this would alter the taste too much.
So I decided to go through the same cake pop process, skipping the stick. And here they are.
